Question about Unlocking items for PVP in PVE - Guild Wars Forums

I have seen some threads about unlocking some items in PvE that can be used by a PvP player.

Can anyone tell me how to do this?

I have see something on the screen that says unlocked when I salvage armor for a rune. Howerver, it says unidentified. Can I use this on my PvP player or do I still need the faction.

Please help!!

the rune is unlocked (available) for a pvp only created character even if you fail to salvage the rune physically (get wood instead)

So when I see the "unlocked" thing pop up I have made it avaliable to my PvP characters?

Do I still have to physically give it to that character and use it?

Also

Does it unlock for all my PvP characters or just 1?

Thanks for the help (I am still trying to figure out this whole Faction/Unlocked thing)

Unlocks are account based, so once you've unlocked something it is available to any PvP character you make. You don't have to do anything beyond creating a PvP character to use your unlocked stuff
